Interpreting Prescriptions - Tricky Patient Names

Instructions

Each prescription has been written using the patient's common first name or nickname. Because the patient has a third-party insurance card, you must fill the prescription under their formal name.

Below each prescription there is a selection box listing possible all possible formal names for these prescriptions.

From the selection box select the correct formal name for each patient. Remember, there are sometimes more than one possible combination (e.g. Jo for either Joseph, Josephine or Josephina).

List of Nicknames - This document contains a partial list of nicknames. It does NOT contain all of the nicknames used in this activity.

Once you have selected an option:

If the grade box changes from "Ungraded" to "CORRECT" you may proceed to the next prescription.
If the grade box changes to "ERROR" then an incorrect option was selected. Change the selection and try again.

When answers for all patients display "CORRECT", you may print a certificate of completion with a completion code by clicking the button below.
