Used For: It is used to treat a type of depression that happens after giving birth (postpartum depression).
Need to Know: This drug can cause low sodium levels. Very low sodium levels can be life-threatening, leading to seizures, passing out, trouble breathing, or death.
Need to Know: This drug has a high risk of abuse and dependence. Use this drug only as you were told by your doctor.
Side Effects: Signs of a urinary tract infection (UTI) like blood in the urine, burning or pain when passing urine, feeling the need to pass urine often or right away, fever, lower stomach pain, or pelvic pain.
Side Effects: Drugs like this one have raised the chance of suicidal thoughts or actions in children and young adults. The risk may be greater in people who have had these thoughts or actions in the past.
Best Taken: Take in the evening.
Best Taken: Take on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal).
