Need to Know: A severe blood problem called methemoglobinemia has happened with drugs like this one. The risk may be raised in people who have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, heart problems, or lung problems.

Need to Know: Be careful in hot weather or while being active. Drink lots of fluids to stop fluid loss.

Side Effects: Signs of depression, suicidal thoughts, emotional ups and downs, abnormal thinking, anxiety, or lack of interest in life.

Side Effects: A severe and sometimes deadly problem called serotonin syndrome may happen if you take this drug with certain other drugs. Call your doctor right away if you have agitation; change in balance; confusion; hallucinations; fever; fast or abnormal heartbeat; sweating a lot; severe diarrhea, upset stomach, or throwing up; or severe headache.

Best Taken: Take on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal).

Best Taken: Take this drug three times a day if needed for muscle spasms.
